Hello everyone. I have selected some parts for my custom mid-range gaming build. I am trying to stay within a $700-$800 budget. I don't plan on overclocking or doing anything drastic to my system. As you can see, I am not getting a keyboard, mouse, monitor, dvd drive, speaker system, or OS, because they are not a part of my budget.

Here are the links to my parts so you can see the ratings and specs for each. My main concern is if there would be any conflict between any pieces of hardware I have listed below.

Thanks everyone for your input!

With these parts, is it necessary for me to purchase a dedicated CPU cooler (fan + heatsink)? Since I'm not overclocking, it should be fine, right?

I will be buying these parts before Monday, so I just want to make sure that these parts are reasonable choices. Is my build good?

don't worry about the ram speed standard.. it will boot with 800mhz just fine

the build looks great... and no you don't need to get an aftermarket cooler.. it will run just fine with standard cooler.. you can even overclock it a little bit on stock voltage if you wanted to :)

No problem. That's the drive I'm getting for my Christmas build; screw RAID. This is cheaper, and performs just about as well.

Thanks all.

So what kind of gaming experience am I guaranteed with this card? More specifically, on a 22" widescreen at 1680 x 1050.

Does the card help speed up other graphic programs, such as photoshop cs3 and adobe after effects?
