Ok guys,
Ive recenlty Started working for an Promotions/Radio company.
Well ALL their stuff is stored on their external harddrive.
I have it hooked up VIA USB on my laptop today, and while i was compressing a small folder (less than 1 megabite) it froze up, and then I tried to close it. Then my computer froze up.
So i held down the power button and rebooted.
When it came back up the USB Drive shows up as it usualy F: Drive, but when you try to open it, it says that I need to format the hd.
So I unplugged it and moved it to another laptop. Still the same thing.
this external has been unplugged a few times without going to the "Disconnect USB Device" before.
I can't lose this info or its gonna be my ***!!!
So since I wrote the above, I removed the HD from the case, the HD is a SATA HD. Put it in my Desktop, and still the same thing, telling me i need to format. is there anything i can try or do?
If anyone could help let me know? ill give this board and whoever a big shout out on air!!!
John
