Is there a list or website for PSU's that will
drive 2x260core216 vs 3x260core216?

Example: Will the corsair 1000w do 2 cards?
Can it do 3 or do you need something bigger?

If you run 260's or 280's,
What's your psu?
What do you recommend?

Thanks.

I didn't see anything in that thread about
what power supplies would power two or
three gtx 260's.

I took advise here and got a EVGA gtx 260 core 216.
It's great and is fine with my PSU, but I would like to
know what is needed if I want to get another card.

So how many amps do you need
to run 2 or 3 of those cards?

Its at the top;

High End Gaming Computers, ( This includes CrossFire, Sli, phase change cooling/Water Cooling and or Heavy overclocking of RAM,
CPU and Video Card(s) )
ABS Tagan (ITZ1300 1300w and BZ800 800w )
Antec (TruePower Quattro 850 Watt)
BeQuiet! (Dark Power Pro Models)
PC Power and cooling
Silverstone (Zeus models ST56ZF, ST75ZF, and ST85ZF)
Silver Power (GuardianX SP-1000E)
Seasonic (S-12, S-12E+, M-12 )
Corsair
Cooler Master (Real Power Pro 1000 Watt)
Etasis
Enhance
EPower (Xscale 1200 Watt)
Enermax (Infiniti 720W)
Enlight
NorthQ (Giant Connector 850W)
Gigabyte (Odin GT)
Hiper (Type R II 880W)
Zippy
Zumax (950 Watt X4)
Enermax (Noisetaker Series)
Thermaltake (Tough Power series only)
Xclio (850W, Enhance Buil, Stable And GreatPower Models)
Fortron (FSP)
OCZ Technologies (Excluding Early ModStream Models and GameStream 700 Watt Model)
Ultra (X3 Models Only, 1000 Watt)
Zalman (ZM600-HP)

Any of those models/brands abd a wattage over 850W will be sufficient

I was looking at Antec NeoPower 650W and then
started looking at Antec TruePower Quattro 850W.

Is the 650 for 1 card and the 850 for 2?

Thanks for your help.

Build Option 1
------------------------
EGVA x58
i7 940
6gb DDR3 1600
2 x GTX260core216

Antec 650W or 850W?

Build Option 2
------------------------
EGVA x58
i7 940
6gb DDR3 1600
3 x GTX260core216

Antec 850W or Corsair 1000W?

Go for the i920 and 2x gtx 260s with the 850W Antec.

Tri-SLI won't do much for you unless you are gaming at some insane resolution or just love benchmarking.

As said you need a 30" monitor to appreciate trisli something like 2560x**** redolution. Little point getting the 940 as the 920 is a good overclocker and with the money saved you can get a good heatsink for it or a watercooling loop. Get the 850W antec quattro. What case are you putting this in???

Thanks.

The 920 does sound good.

I also think 2 cards will
be plenty for my 24".

I was thinking antec 900.
