i just ran 3d mark 06 on my E6700 conroe stock settings and got 2306 for the cpu lol

if i upped the FSB on the conroe, to 1333 or adjusted multiplyer, could i safely get 3.0 ghz on stock cooling? if so what would it get for a score then?

cause i am selling it when i build mine....just trying to figure out how fast the E6700 will have to run to be equivalent to a stock E8400....???

looks like core i7 is winning lol

oh ok....i can agree with that...

UD5 gigabyte board and processor came yesterday and the cpu is def bigger!

oh and that gigabyte board looks sweet, read the box all over it had alot of info on the box suprisingly LOL

packaged well i am very happy with the looks of it so far!!!

Rave Tech......2 questions.

1. How old are you?

2. Why do you keep starting threads asking us questions and then when we try to help you, you do what you want to do anyways?

You don't need 8GB or 12GB of RAM. You need 4GB for an Core 2 system and either 3GB or 6GB for an i7 system.

A 4850 is better than an 8800GT, by a long shot.

A GTX 260 Core 216 is a smarter route to go than the SLI 8800GTs. When those are out of date in about 6 months you will have to throw them in the trash where with the GTX 260 you could add another one for SLI and have a massive performance improvement over the 8800GTs.
