with reg crysis yeah... cuz the textures arent optimised as well (plus there's no where near as many)... Warhead just lacks the eye candy i love so very very much

yeah man... stick it in Enthusiast and its insane... to keep a decent framerate of 35-40fps at 16x12 you've gotta have at least 1.25GB of framebuffer... if you try and get the memory bit higher clocks it'll help out alot with the framerate, because at high res and detail the increased bandwidth will help reduce the memory saturation

What do you use to benchmark Crysis?

Is there a topic around here with 3Dmark results for OCing? I'd like to see peoples results.

Nos I finally was able to OC with a new PSU. 3.25 so far...haven't tried any more then that. Going to let the computer run all week and play around with it to see how it works.

possibly, but I think dropping the memory helped alot too. I put it at it's lowest settins, like 600 something. 667 maybe?

Thanks. I ran a benchy with Warhead. Man I can't wait for my new 4870! This is with a 3870.

This is horrible isn't it?

Hey nos, what kinda volts did you need to make it work at 3.8GHz? After seeing people with 1.2V getting 4.0GHz, I think I'm going to sell mine and buy another.

Please tell me the 4870 will make a difference. That is insane to think that it wouldn't!

switch gears here...

I increased my computer up to about 3.56GHz and ran coretemps while playing Crysis. I watched the temps of each core as I played. Seem the first two cores went up to about 69 to 70c and the other two stayed around 62 or 63c. Is this ok? It seems the cores where never under max load.

Also, will these temps change with a better gpu? Or does that not apply?

For now I am going to back it down to 3.25.

However the game crashed after awhile. Not sure if this is due to the OC or not though.
