Building a new Gaming PC

Hay.

I've been getting alot of nice comments about games on the computer from my girlfriend (she's asian & a gamer, so combined it's like ;...), such as The Orange Box, Portal, Fallout 3, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead (especially), and many others but my family computer is HELLA SLOW.

Basically what I need is something that can run high-end games like Crysis, good at multi-tasking, an excellent graphics card, and a nice processor (again, for gaming).

Now, I'm expecting lots of questions flaming my ***, but I will edit this post answering certain things people ask me.

Budget: $1,400

There is no ram and the Sunbeam Core Contact does NOT work with LGA1366 chips.

ahhh. RAM for that one would be the 3x1GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 (8-8-8-21) kit... i thought there was a 1366 bracket for the Sunbeam

I built my rig that's in my sig for about $600, minus the case, PSU and GPU. Runs Crysis on High, but the card gets hot after about 2 hours, need liquid cooling.

MoBo and CPU for $333 thru new egg (on special)
HD for $80 (200GT SATA)
CPU Cooler for about $70
RAM was about $110


Seperatly:
4870 1G GPU was about $160 (I got connex)
PSU was about $120 (IIRC)



This rig runs awesome! I've finally got a GREAT multi tasking computer that is as fast as I want it to be! (The Ex was SHOCKED when I told her that! LOL )
