what is this processor comparable to? is it like a 45nm q6600? i know the q8200 is in the same price range but it only has 4mb of l2 cache. so that kindve sucks. also what kind of overclocking could i expect to get out of the q9300?

after reading reviews on it it seems that they hit 3.5ghz and then a fsb wall. if i do get it i would hope to overclock to 3ghz to 3.2 ghz daily. is that too much?

If you find a q6600 that can hit 3.2ghz pretty easily (that'd match a q9300 @ 3.0ghz) because its slower than a q9300 clock per clock

i like how the 45nm's do sse4 as opposed to the 65nm's that dont. but the only problem is that the q9300 is 240 right now on newegg. i wonder if i can talk my dad into splurging a bit and getting me the q9300

The Q9300 should be good as long as you have a motherboard that can hit a high fsb. BongWizard managed to hit 3.6ghz on his with a gigabyte EP45 DS3P.
