ok, i am building my friend a computer, and below is the specs....i want you guys to vote to see what you all think it will run! pick the closest possible answer to what is most logical to the specs....lets see who is closest cause when i am done, i am going to bench the **** outta it!!

specs:

1.core2duo E6700 2.66 ghz 4 mb cache (overclocked to 3.0 ghz)
2.evga 680i board
3.6 gb ddr2 800 mhz(overlclocked to 850-900 mhz)
4.2x SLI 16 x 16 2.0 geforce 9600 gso (both overclocked to 625 mhz)
5.western digital HD 16 mb cache

i will bench crysis at 1280 x 1024, all high settings, NO AA

there you have it!

what settings in Crysis??? Might get 60-65fps in "High" with no AA, but in "Very High" or with 4xAA, you'll be down to <35 :p

with a dualie the 3dmark score is gonna die a little bit ... im gonna guess around 12-15k in 06, and Crysis depends on the settings and resolution... these are just estimates at low res

Very High - <30fps
Very High w/ 2xAA - 15-20fps
Very High w/ 4xAA - 10-15fps
High - 45-55fps
High w/ 2xAA - 35-45fps
High w/ 4xAA - 25-35fps
Medium - 55-65fps
Medium w/ 2xAA - 45-55fps
Medium w/ 4xAA - 40-45fps
Any AA Level 8 samples or greater - <30fps
Any res 1920x1200 or greater - <40fps

need some info on those settings before i vote... you should just go for standards... 1280x1024, All High, no AA

EDIT: I oughta start making odds on these and taking bets! lol

8, 9, 10k in 3dmark06....

I'd say High is playable.. not the most smooth thing in the world but it should be fine

what speed for FSB should i use to start, right now its 1066 FSB and 2,66 on the cpu but when i go 1333 on FSB it jumps cpu to 3.2 ghz.......when i go 1600 it goes to 3.8

i wonder how much the conroe can take? and advice?

yep dont expect much more than 40fps in crysis with that rig. and i would be very suprised if it got 15k+ in 3d mark o6

I think the 9600 series scale pretty well in SLI, so 15k might be possible, after some overclocking though. I would think 13-14k is definately achievable because a single 9600GSO should get over 10k overclocked.
