I can imagine that Poizen on a breaking news report as they are talking to firefighters...
"Well the fire seemed to stem from this black object, we believe it originated from four 9800GX2's... We hope to get the selling of these things banned to anyone under the age of 18...."
 
heat is gonna be the main problem with this thing

for the WC, probably 5 rads and a pump for each of them... and even then, you're gonna be dissipating 2kW+, so you're either gonna need to absorb that energy somehow, i'd suggest a few parallel phase units (you could do it because, remember, you've killed Bill Gates here and gone insane from all the money you stole from him lol) or do it in a space sufficiently large to buffer delta Ta to no more than, say, 10°C (else its gonna get uncomfortable) over your desired time period...

so lets assume the best case scenario (detoxified air, a max change in ambient temp of 25°C, and an infinite capacity to remove heat from the CPU until equilibrium)... we'll also assume you've spent all your money on GPUs and cant afford a bunch of phase systems...

so the average room in an average house is about 40 cubic metres, which is 40 000 L...

this allows for about 1490 moles of our ideal air (which is a mixture of 77% N, 22% O and 1% Ar which has a specific heat capacity of 29.5Jmol/K, for simplicity sake)

this means it'll take 43995J to increase the temp of our room 1°C... with a dissipation of 2kW, this is achieved in just 21.98 seconds...

to increase to 50°C (from our initial temp of 25°C, making delta Ta) it would take this rig just 9 minutes and 10 seconds... so really, you better finish whatever calculation you're doing within 10 minutes and get the **** outta there!

but to get to 95°C (far to hot for any human, but the Tjmax for many CPUs) it would take only 25 minutes and 50 seconds, assuming no heat is lost...

so really... this is the stupidest idea anyone could ever have for in their own home, and the fact that these are very specialised as well just makes it all the more useless... so, in short, RoadRunner = Well designed computing machine (yeah it'll run hot too... but the government can afford a giant air conditioner), this thing = highly specialised space heater
 
does that take newtons law of cooling into account though? I'm pretty sure it isn't a linear increase in temperature.

on the flip side though that doesn't take into account that there's probably not even half a centimeter in between the cards, and the fact that there isn't 100% dissipation of the heat as some will always be trapped in the case. also once the ambient starts to rise it will be blowing warmer and warmer air through the system which would accelerate the heating.
