This is for the comparison of crossfire 4870s and sli gtx 260s:

Depends on what game, resolutions and settings you would want.

This is a comparison towards the old 260 and a new core 216:

The link I showed is just Crysis, they tested other games as well, you can browse around. But overall I think the core 216 ones are the better buy.

Looking at this it doesn't seem smart to upgrade at this time... Don't see a big enough increase in performance for the money to make it worth while...

I reflashed the bios in my cards last night and the cooling and fan issues are taken care of for the most part. I was able to set higher default clocks which also enabled me to OC them higher which helped with the performance a little...

I'm thinking down the road I might like to look towards crossfiring two 4870 x2's but right now I don't really want to drop a grand to do so...
