if you wana cf 4870's get an hd4870x2 its faster then cf 4870's and a litle bit cheaper.

OR a a 4850 X2 which has awesome cooling ( you need good airflow though) and is almost as good as a GTX280, while being ~370.

or just stick to a gtx280 cuz its a nice single card solution and doesnt have to worry about games being multi-card ready 
Or get one 4870 and wait later on down the road for another one for crossfire because you can't afford a 4870x2 atm. I'm sure the 4870s will drop in price in about 6 months eh?
EDIT: Wait wait... 1337 JohnN, I totally forgot about the 4850X2. That thing's only $100 more than an ASUS 4870DK. What's the scoop on that card? Sorry for hi-jacking this thread. Lemme know if it gets out of hand and I'll bump my previous thread.
