Acer Widescreen Issue

Hi. I'm new to the forum and am having an issue with a new monitor. I have a relatively new computer with an NVidia GeForce 8400 GS display adapter. The MOBO is an Asus P5K deluxe WiFi. The new monitor is an Acer X193W. I am running WinXP Pro SP 3. I have gone to various sites to upgrade drivers, etc. The monitor will go blank intermittently and seems to be worse when I scroll web pages with my mouse. I returned the first monitor that did this and the second is doing the exact same thing. Any suggestions? It is extremely bothersome! Thanks in advance.

OK..... I changed my cable to a VGA cable. Booted up the computer.... It self adjusted to a lower resolution and voila! No blank outs.... Now that's just strange!!

Hmm, maybe a bad cable. You had a DVI cable bfore?
