Graphic cards and PSU issue

Hi ,

I bought a NVIDIA e-GeForce 8400 gs card 512mb pci-e and it works ok no issues so far but my thing is when I read the requirements on the card it says it needs at least a 350 watt PSU and thats where my worries are since my current system only carries a 300 watt. My question is will it one day the graphics card ceased to work or show low performance because of low PSU.
Anybody has experienced issues with PSU and graphic cards.

300 w PSU

download ATI tool:
techPowerUp! :: Download ATITool 0.26

and run the artifact scanner.
if it runs with no artifacts and doesnt lock your system up, the PSU is most likely fine. if either of those things happen, think about an upgrade.

cool thanx ...that software looks pretty neat ...but when it scans, it does never stop ever...is that normal?

yes. if it doesnt find artifacts it wont stop till you stop it. if it artifacts, it will reset the timer.
