Need a gaming pc for under $700

Can someone build me the best gaming system I can get for under $700 CAD. I have a 17" monitor which ill prolly just use for now (prolly gonna get a 22" lcd in th summer) and keyboard, mouse + OS. I just need need everything else.

Also, im willing to cut back on harddrive space if it means getting a better cpu/mobo/vcard. Please help me out!

I think the mods should sticky a thread for all new comers to grab the best bang for buck.

Have you done research at all? What games do you want to run? nvidia or ati? Is this your first build?

If so, I'd run a quad core or dual core by intel.

yeah good idea its not much more for an e5200 which is alot better, good choice on the ram too, youll find that NQ's are much better then most of the new high end ddr2 sets you will find.

Ok, so I managed to get a case and a DVD/CD drive so that gives me a extra $100. Should I get a better cpu and possibly upgrade the ram to 4gb?
