ya those 2900xt's held 30k for a long time... and are hardly beat now by current generation cards

Ok..... Here are 3DMark06 results.... I guess the GPU just sucks (for this bench.... runs games that I own perfectly fine)...

Stock CPU @ 2.83 GHz
Stock GPU @ 621/900 MHz
ORB - Compare - 6636

Stock CPU @ 2.83 GHz
OC'd GPU @ 648/945 MHz
ORB - Compare - 6898


Anyone think that a CPU OC is going to have ANY effect at all on that score??

E0 Revision is just a bad one to OC?

No, its a great one to OC
underclock your ram and pump 1.35v and see how far you can go before it doesn't boot into windows. Then check stability. Also post your VTT,NB,GTL voltages

Yeah.... I'm gonna have to do LOADS of reading at work tomorrow before I attempt any of that..... Not sure how to do anything other than change FSB speed, and multiplier at this point... there are MANY MANY options in the BIOS, but I am gonna have to read up on it..

yes indeed. you will need to up NB and PLL if you have it and FSB termination (aka VTT). take it easy on the VTT, you do not want to go very high with it. i am sure your chip will go higher...my 9450 is a C1 and it is pretty golden. E0 are supposed to be even better.

you don't want to go high on PLL either. If you have loadline calibration turn that SOB off.
