the rv770 handles fallout 3 with 4x or 8x AA ...I get some drops in the mid-high 40s when outside, but always a solid 62fps inside or in a town. 1680x1050 8xAA 16xAF everything maxed

The rv770 responds really well to clocking, I notice a huge difference between the stock 625mhz and even a modest clock like 725-750. So get that 4830 clocked as it runs at a pretty low clock from the factory.

Stock is 575, I thought clocking it to 700mhz would make it perform on par with the 4850. But Catalyst will only overclock up to 680mhz. So I'll be stuck with RivaTuner and ATITool. Neither of which have worked for my 3650.

You can clock via RBE, best way in my opinion anyway.

That's sad considering that stock clock is 625mhz.

i think something must have gone wrong because I don't think I've seen a 4850 that doesnt do 700mhz
