Probably not, but it will run all your videos smoothly. I still don`t see how your 8600 GT wasn`t able to run DVD quality movies smoothly.

It runs it smoothly, but the clarity isn't that great. It's no where near HDTV, but I always expected it to look a little crisper than it does.

It runs it smoothly, but the clarity isn't that great. It's no where near HDTV, but I always expected it to look a little crisper than it does.

dvd's will never look like hdtv quality video.

If you want hi-def on the pc, buy a blu-ray drive.

Yeah, I know they won't look like HDTV, I was hoping for something along the lines of regular DVD on the tv.
