Good evening,
I was running a Win XP SP2 OS with a small capacity IDE HDD fitted with a SATA DVD re-writer, IDE CD re-writer and IDE CD reader. Due to the limited capacity of the HDD, I installed a new SATA 200Gb HDD with the OS installed and the IDE HDD, re-formatted. With the SATA HDD in circuit, the OS fails to start - when the 'beads' run across the bottom of the screen, they continue to run and the system fails to start. When, however, I disonnect the SATA DVD re-writer the system starts and functions correctly. Please, can anyone help me resolve this problem as I would, really, like to have the use of the SATA DVD re-writer.
Thank you, in anticipation.
