HDD gaming computer Build question?

My Western Digital HDD has 3 connections on it. An SATA Data, a SATA Power, and a third with 2 rows of 4 tiny pins. Does anyone know what this is for?

The third row is a set of jumpers, they're most likely used to set SATA I or SATA II

do i want to do that? I already have the 2 sata cables hooked up.
