Anyone using solid state drives yet?

raid 0 is no good if you have data you need.
once again, write times on an OS drive wont matter nearly as much as the read time. which is WAY faster.
i wouldnt get a 500gb and store all my data on it, i'd get a 32gb and put my OS on it.

i need a new hdd anyway.. i'm stuck on an old 160gb thats 8mb cache.. and a 30gb thats ide and 6mb cache...

so i'm flying pretty slowly since my 16 mb cache 320 died on me

imo ssd's are too expensive and only good for portable rough handling drives but again there are usb flash drives which are way cheaper than ssd's so just wait until ssd's get cheaper

80 dollars for an ssd isnt that bad to me... thats what we paid for 37gb raptors...
