Why would you get a velociraptor :s ssd's are so much quicker. If money was no object I would get the pc I currently have except a watercooling loop so that it was silent. I had the money for a dell 30" and spent it on a solid aluminium 24" because it looks nicer and a 30" is to large to sit 30cm from imo

right, Solid state drives are extremely expensive, but they are sooo fast.


I would build:

Amd 5x86 P90 (160mhz 486 processor)
2x voodoo2s in SLI (3dfx sli is different than Nvidia, it up before u call me retarded)

Even though 3dfx IS technically Nvidia nowadays, thats another story...

4x64mb 72-pin dimms
4x 32gb hard drives (for dos.. has a hard time addressing above 32gb)

and i'd put it in my car, and modify it so that i can use the car for old-school Dos gaming=)

Sure you can get a new laptop and do the same thing, but it just doesnt feel the same.......

I'd grab an Asus Rampage II Extreme, A Core i7 Extreme, 3 GTX 280s, A 1000w psu, 6 gigs DDR3 1800 Tri Channel, SSD's, bluray burner, and a kickass case with some awesome water cooling.
