thx, im going with something similar, least the mobo and cpu setup. but im getting dual gtx280 cards im thinking.

also was thinking of getting this case - Newegg.com - ABS Canyon 695 4 x140mm Fan Multiple Heat Zones Full Aluminum Super Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

Let me also state, thats a good case. I currently have that one and its got good ventilation. My entire system is air cooled and I got a 34% oc on my cpu and it idles at 35c. Similar temps with my 4870 with a thermalright cooler on it.

also, what kind of OC are ppl getting with the 3.2 i7?

With every fan maxxed out they do have a noticable hum. Thats why i recommended in mine that fan controller. At night if I leave my computer on, I can simply turn the fans down to were I cant hear them. When I game or put a lot of stress on mine, I can just simply turn the knob and turn the speeds up. I got my cpu fan and case fans all on that controller. I can individually control all my fans. Honestly, I rarely ever turn the case fans up. I have em all the way down with the controller and its still runs pretty cool for just being air cooled. Well away from any overheating temps or anything.

yhea putting the fans in fan controller is a good idea. mine now are in a fan controller but i just leave them at max all the time. i am used to it.

On the parts you posted, only thing I would change is the memory. I had problems with that brand in one of my builds. It was stated as being compatible but I ended up getting crucial or ocz to fix the problem. Other then that, looks great. I would recommend a different cooler for your video card tho. The stock ones honeslty suck. I am told by most that these cards can reach 100c and be ok but I just cant let mine get that hot. Spend another 60 bucks and get a aftermarket cooler for that card. Mine sits at 40c idle and 50c while gaming.
