Well personally, I've never had to back off more than 5mhz once I started seeing artifacts in order to never see them again.

well so far i got my 8800GTS(g92) clocked at 715core-1017memory-1748shader and i have yet to see any artifacts. when i get home from work i'll continue my overclock.

What are your Temps?

im not sure of all the temps but the core idles at 48*C. the highest i saw was 56*C, i have the fan at 60%.

What you can do is get gpu-z to logg your temps as you play/test, then look after.

yeah thats what i have going on but im at work right now, be home in about 30mins. i'll run 3dmark and look up the log file.

ok so im home now and here where my max temps from last night. 2008-11-17, 22:27:05 , core715.0 , mem1030.0 , GPUtemp58.0 , GPUtemp50.8 , PCBtemp44.5 , fanspd65 ,fanRPM 2139 ,

How noticeable is a pretty decent OC?

i've noticed a difference with this overclock from stock, nothing dramatic but there is a difference.
