My ram can't clock any higher, if I up the ram limit to 333mhz it will only revert back to 666mhz. So I just keep it at 266/533mhz which actually works.

I think its the combonation of low ram timings, and high clock frequency.


I can boot with 3.6ghz no problem, im just not prime95 stable.

awesome score hussein, now i have some work to do.

My record so far is 27.749s @ 3.4ghz

I will post a screen shot later, but im going to try to beat your record first.

My Computer won't even boot at 3.4ghz. Its like a miracle I got 3.35mhz to boot and actually run Super Pi. Rich your right, its the low ram timings, and the fact I pushed my Hyper transport limit down to 800mhz instead of 1,000mhz.

I still don't see how you got such a great score with a opteron. Clocked at 2.9ghz lol, I didn't get anything under 30seconds until I push past 3.00ghz.

Yeah I m planning to, what 4GB DDR2 ram kit would you suggest?

Does it matter whether its 1066mhz or 800mhz? Since I m overclocking I'll be pushing it farther regardless, just wondering though.

its all about the lower multi and great ram

at the time i was running some ddr500 ram.. which was todays ddr2 maybe 1100

and it was also CAS 3? or 2.5? latency and clock speed is everything with AMD and SPi.
