pftttt 2.4 ain't an overclock!! CRANK IT UPPPPP!!!

and borrow 3dmark06? huh? freedownload? lol

I was talking about the GPU ;)

But one overclocking guru to another, this X2 4600+ doesn't have much overclocking headroom on this board... Apok said that he got to 2.9ghz.. But I'll probably try to not get a cheapy board... and use it instead...

You really need to get to at least 2.8ghz so you wont bottleneck.

Too bad its not a BE, it would be really easy to get up there.

BE's got nothing on me ;)

I'd like to see what kind of over clocks are possible with unlocked multipliers while giving the bus a little boost.

Why get an AF64 if no overclock? Nos is right, crank that chip up. We want to see you past 3.00ghz.
Probably not likely unless he removes the IHS. With water it was getting fairly high temps at 2.9.

The 6000+ I bought after that actually had significantly lower temps. They started using a different material between the IHS and core. Though it made removing the IHS much more difficult.

Though the power regulation also can play a role in the max overclocks, too. Windsors did use a fair bit of voltage when pushing them. And the 780G board vern has is a little lacking in power regulation.
