Zedman your paintshoping must be getting sloppy. Cause I see horrible green ink spill on the right side of your avatar.

Lol. I knew it wouldnt be long until an Avvy comment... haha.
Its because i like ATI, and admire their 4 series, but im getting SLI 260 Core 216's... lol.

Well there is the GTX350, its essentially a dual gtx280. But I would imagine it will cost a fortune and it will be very hot and consume a good deal of power. one GTX280 draws over 300watts.

That sounds good. When does it come out and will it be under $800 AUD?

You must be confusing full system loads cause a single card only draws around 230watts.

Dual gpu boards have always drawn less than two separate cards. For example the 8800GTS 512 draws about 150 watts, while the 9800GX2 only adds on 50 more.

And the GTX 350 will be 55nm not 65nm....so i estimate power draw of the GTX 350 to be around 300watts.

True but regardless, the numbers i posted are correct.

8800GTS 512 = G92 128sp = 145watts tdp

9800GX2 = G92 128sp x 2 = 197watts tdp

So from those figures and the 55nm shrink i think 300watts
is reasonable.

If I were to buy a card around the release of the GTX 350. First I'd wait 2 weeks, then pick up a GTX 260 (216 Core Version) and call it a day.

Seriously who needs the equivalent of the raw power of 2 TWO!!! 2!!!! ****ING 2!!!! GTX 280's?

The 4870X2 is already overkill.

For all you Crysis lovers, **** Crysis.
