ok another question... SO MANY BRANDS OF GRAPHIC CARDS!!!

how do i tell which 280 is the best?(not over 500$)

EVGA and XFX are good brands. They both have pretty sweet warranties that cover overclocking.

Go for EVGA or XFX. They have the best warranties. The EVGA ones are factory overclocked though, so I would probably go for that one, unless you want to do it yourself.

There isn't any point in buying factory OC'd cards. its easy to do yourself, and EVGA covers it. You will end up paying $10 extra for something that you can do in 2 minutes. Not worth it.

gosh, **** buying a premade "custom" computer, i didnt think i'd be able to get this well of components for this price.... thanks for the great info guys

if you do get a gtx 260 get a core 216 version.

hmm, whats the price range i should be looking at minimum for mohterboard? i know nothing about em pretty mutch..(how to tell fi there good or not)
i wanna try and get a pc built with about 1500$ and has a single 280 (or 260), a q6600, and 4 gb of ram

Will you be doing sli at all?

The only sli motherboards are Nvidia based and their chipsets aren't very good and the boards tend to be overpriced too.

A good board to go with is the Biostar I45. You can also get the Gigabyte EP45-DS3R. They both are solid overclockers.
