Opinion on my new pc please

I would like to ask you guys if you think my new pc is future proof and if it would be able to play todays demanding games with satisfactory settings.

1. Intel Quad Core 2.66Ghz
2. Nvidia GeForce GTX280 1GB DDR3
3. 3GB RAM DDR3 1333Mhz
4. X38 Intel Motherboard Extreme
5. 650WATT Power Supply
6. 2x500GB HDD 7200rpm
7. Windows XP Pro SP3 32Bit

i would change ur gpu to a 1gb 4870, motherboard to a biostar i45, ram to dd2 800

also im pretty sure x38's dont even support ddr3

Id rather stay with nvidia

Why is DDR2 better than DDR3?

well ddr3 doesnt show its benefits untill it gets to and over 1600 mhz, if u buy ddr3 1333 ur just wasting ur money on something that isnt worth it. and if u insist on staying nvidia go ahead the 280 is still powerfull, but id still get the board and ddr2 ram(800 or 1066)

so is actually ddr3 1333mhz the same as lets say ddr2 at 1066?

id say ddr2 1066 might be slightly better then ddr3-1333
