Ram Corsiar vs OCZ, need a decision

There aren't any 2x2gb kits that I know of that will do 1200mhz easily.

Unlikely.

And your mobo's standard ram is not 1200, it just "supports" DDR2 1200 which is just marketing BS really, as pretty much all boards do providing you can clock the memory that high.

Do you mind running an everest mem/cache test at those settings? 1066 4,4,4,12 is impressive

yes i will run it this evening and post the results. it does take 2.4V, though.

ok guru, without any tweaks i cant get but 1130 @ 5-5-5-15 2.2V PL @ 8.

copy - 9505
latency - 57.3

all of which are good except the latency, which kinda sucks.
i'll try to bone it around this afternoon and see if i can get them to run w/ 4 timings. its harder than i remembered. i might be able to raise the PL to 10 and get it but i think the performance will be worse than it is at this clock with the PL set that high.

cool. My 4x1gb OCZ SLI 8500s at 1161mhz 5,5,5,15 2.14V get:

Read: 9477
Write: 9880
Copy:9587
Latency: 52.3ns

That's 466FSB and PL 8

Is that why they're so expensive? Would it OC to 1200?

The Pi black's are the 4th cheapest set of 2x2gb cas 4 ram on newegg so I would hardly consider them expensive.
