How good is my internet connection

Is there a way to tell how strong my internet connection is.Im running metrocast broadband thier router,only info i can find on it is Arris touchstone telephony modem.I run xp sp2.

You can test speed, lost packets (quality), VoiP quality, etc. Pretty good and thorough site.
