Laptop to PC

Thanks for that veedub clever way to do it . I normally share the file through right clicking>>share file, then access it by going to my network places

Not every computer has its C: drive shared...it's not really a good idea to share it anyways, since others could access/ruin your Windows/Programs installations. What you want to do, on the PC with the files, is share a folder (just right click on the folder you want to make accessible on the network, choose Sharing, and check the Share This Folder box). Then, on the other PC, go to My Network Places (if XP) or Network (if Vista). With any luck, your other PC will be listed, and inside of it will be the shared files.
