Hey, I was wondering if this is a decent laptop for the price? my PC crapped out

Well personally I think you can have a look at these two:
Asus X83Vb-X1 14.1 inch 4GB 250GB NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphics laptop $700
and
HP Pavilion G60120US 2GHz 15.6 inch Laptop $600

if you go to circuit city you can get free kaspersky, lexmark printer and dlink router free after MIR

and that's a good laptop, but what do you need it for?

Only need it for storing files.. and web browsing.. and mostly just media.. small gaming.

Ugh those laptops are all just plain fugly.

Take a look at Lenovo, MSI, and other Asus ones.
