one stick has that problem the other is a resistor falling off :( my guesse is it could be do to bad sautering, and people never thurougly inspected there ram and just assumed it was a chip dying.

good ram realy just not reliable. but if you get a good loyal kit you will LOVE them as there isnt much other ram that comes close to its performence for its price. ive seen ddr667 kits go up to 1000mhz.

OCZ SLI 8500 is the best for the money imo. can be had here for like 27 quid brand new for 2gb....my 4gb do 1200mhz easy....and 1180mhz at only 2.16V

but the best part is that they dont die like my ballistix did!

and my new power supply excites me.. its so massive.. its all elongated.. mm mmm massive 1kw deliciousness with 6 rails at 20 amps each! yummy
