it increases performance, its kinda like a single core cpu to dual core, but it doesnt benefit as much as that, i get around the power of a gtx280, which when they originally came out both cards added to 600 around the price of a 280 when it came out but as of right now u can get 9800gtx's for very cheap

Oh ok, but I don't get where your suppose to plug the monitor into.

Lets say you have one monitor and two graphics card, where do you plug the monitor into? And how do you use both if the monitor is just plugged into one?

Wait, let me get something straight.
So even if you have 2 graphics card, you still plug the monitor into 1 of the graphic card and it uses the power of both of them?

Wow, I never knew that that is how SLI worked.
So how does the other card do that if nothing is plugged into it?

Scalable Link Interface (SLI) is a brand name for a multi-GPU solution developed by Nvidia for linking two or more video cards together to produce a single output. SLI is an application of parallel processing for computer graphics, meant to increase the processing power available for graphics.
