well cache is where the instructions are stored before the enter the execution core in a cpu, basically the more cache the better. i dont know a whole lot about it google how a cpu works and u can read a whole 10 pages about it. nah 16gb is not required for gamign at all, you wont even notice anything above 4gb for gaming and even video editing etc. for home use.
