Jtumble, if you were at least at 3ghz you would see way more fps than now.

The game is not overly cpu intensive, its just that youre at a low clock speed.

my CPU is 3.3GHz, trying to get to 3.4GHz. I got a lot of homework to do this week so maybe ill try again on the weekend.

are you positive the clocks are changing? Have you verified with GPU-Z or everest? Overclocking should at least make a few 10ths of a difference, more likely a few frames at least though!

seems like i was wrong same clocks as before gets roughly an extra 2 fps

here's minez.

that's a good clock speed. no vmods yet.

31 FPS
Philbar71
Pentium D 940 3.3ghz
XFX 9800gtx 852/2000/1200mhz
vista ultimate 32 bit

It is cpu bound because i got a higher score with a lesser card.

And my cpu is only @ 3ghz, although its stronger than pentium d clock for clock.

Everything is stronger than a pentium D clock for clock.

My point is, Crysis relies much more on your video card than your cpu. Lets put things into perspective, 30fps, isn't that far from 35, 38 or 40 fps. When you compare someone who has an overclocked Q6600 and the guy with the pentium D gets within 10 fps of him, that says a lot.

yea but that 10 fps is like a 33% increase. so yes that is alot.
