Is there a way to get 5.1 Sound out of these without using something like the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Drive? I want to use them with my TV/ Games and I want 5.1 sound out of them but I don't know you can do it without running through the PC. Is it possible?

for tv output, since it is stereo source, you can connect our tv monitor output to a dolby prologic II decoder. dolby prologic II creates a matrixed other 4 channel to your speakers. for games (like ps2, x-box) or dvd player, i'm sure there will be a digital output from them, so you can connect it directly to your z-5300.

on some mobo theres 5.1 channels, what sort of mobo u have ?

I know I can do it if I run the speakers through the PC via the Optical Input on the Sound Blaster Audigy2 Drive. But I would like to just take the speakers themself and hook them up to my DvD player, or my Reciever and get 5.1 sound from them.
