I'm not sure if you know anything about the case, but how is the antec 300 case?

that case is fine. the only thing i dont like about it is the psu mounts on the bottom. and there is no kind of side pannel ventelation. that's not needed tho but is a plus

Also, I know I ask this before, but is there anything that I should know about building a computer? Its my first time and I don't want to screw it up, so any tips would be appreciated.

it's easy. if you can take one apart and put it back to gether then you've built a computer. pretty much if something dosent fit then is dosen't go there.
