Building a new computer need a lot of help...

Im thinking about buying a new decent gaming computer. I've been looking at some barebone kits and saw this

I was wondering if this is a good kit to get and also if there were other kits I should be looking at? $300-400 is around my budget.

That's actually a good deal. But why is SLI sign all over the place, when they don't even provide a GPU? If your planning on gaming you'd have to get something like a 9600 GSO or 9600 GT which are around the 100$ category. If you wanted to SLI you'd still need another card though.

So it'd end up as a 500$ SLI build, which is a great price.

Agreed, maroon's recommendation + a 4850 or cheap used 8800GTS 512mb/9800GTX would make for a very nice budget computer.

Another 2gb ram would be helpful as well.

Alright thanks for the options im still deciding because I want an sli system but a core 2 quad would be nice too.

At what resolution do you game?

Not really sure its just what ever i could get the best fps on my comp....I've currently on an Intel Celeron 2.4 ghz...I played cs 1.6 and condition zero. Now im upgrading to mostly to play source and some other games.

well unless you are gaming at a very high resolution I would not bother with SLI/crossfire

A single 9800GT will eat up anything source at any res.
