Extended Memory Manager

I just recently replaced my out my motherboard for a new one. After putting in the new one, whenever I start windows, it says that it can't find the Extended Memory Manager. I've searched for and found the file emm386.exe and its where it should be, but for some reason the problem persists.

Do a fresh install of Windows, that will fix the problem.

dont do the fresh installation, instead of that do one thing and that is try to repair the OS.

if it is win 98 try to run the setup from
c:\windows\options\cabs

if winxp or 2000
boot from cd rom and then at first screen press enter
and then accept the license agreement by pressing F8
and then press R
