Re-Installing won't be enough because he still have more space for overclocking and when I start working on [Project] Prototype, you will need a new setup. How much money did you spend on your build because you wasted so much money and someone with 8800GT SLI beat you.

Huh? i was the one with 8800GT sli that beat me. And how is it wasted. 3dmark06 uses a super low resolution. Bump that crap to 1920x1200 and my score didnt even change

Typo. I mean someone with 8800 GT SLI almost had your score by 35 points.

Your 4870 should of overclocked higher than 4870X2.

Ya i havent actually pushed them to their limit. And i lose roughly around 1000 points because im on vista. And dangit, now i'm going to have to bring up the xp partition for another run to reclaim my spot.

But he is also running vista so he can also gain those points if he does it in Windows XP. You need a 45nm Quad. How much did your build cost?

Also about the resolution, he is using 4870X2 like 2 4870 so that neglate it. The tests are at the same resolution.

you need an E8600 5ghz run. I'd imagine 4.1ish is going to be where that Q9550 stops.
Makes me think maybe I should keep my Q9550.

No. 3DMark06 is CPU dependent. The extra 2 cores will give him a higher score. E8600 are for SuperPI.

yea but a high clocked duely can really give out a good score aswell now. sometimes better then quads.

I know quads are better but people are hitting 22k w/ e8500/e8600's, the latter on air . They make up a good amount of ground where our quads stop
