Ok, so I have final decided to build my own gaming pc. I have never built a pc before but I know alot about computer. Can you guys please tell me if this is a good pc. My budget is $800 or bellow (without the monitor, mouse, or keyboard).
1. Antec 300 case Newegg.com - Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
2. 650W PSU Newegg.com - Antec EA650 650W ATX12V Ver.2.2 / EPS12V version 2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies
3. EVGA 9800GTX Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
4. 250GB Hard Drive Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
5. CD/DVD Burner Newegg.com - LG Black 22X (CAV) DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 22X (CAV) DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 22X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe - CD / DVD Burners
6. Intel Core 2 Quad Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
7. BIOSTAR motherboard Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
8. 4GB RAM
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

I also don't know if all these parts are capable with each other and will all work together. Can you guys please tell me if all these parts will work together. Another question is that if the dvd drive is SATA, how do I know if my motherboard supports it?

Yea those are compatible. A couple things though.

I would go with this Hard drive over that one. Its twice the size and only 10 bucks more, with a twice as large cache.
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

I don't know if you plan on OC'ing, correct me if i'm wrong, but i think i remember someone saying the Tp43 has somewhat of a limited FSB, compared to its big brother the P45. Regardless, its a good board. I've heard good things about it.

The RAM is good, but i would consider this. Newegg.com - G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Its only DDR2 800 but it has awesome timing and operates at a low voltage for 20 bucks less. You could easily up the clockspeed without messing with the voltage more than likely.

Some people will say you can go with the ATI 4850 seeing as its a great bang for the buck, but i myself am an Nvidia fan, so i say stay with what makes you comfortable :) lol

And yes, your board supports SATA interface for HD/CD/DVD. You'll notice the IDE slot on the board as well, which supports CD/DVD drives

That TForce P43 will do just fine for that Q6600, it's an excellent board for the price and a great overclocker.

Maybe check out this ram, it's $73 after MIR with same timings and voltage:
Newegg.com - CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

I would also recommend getting a 4850. It's faster and cheaper than the 9800GTX:
Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H485F512P Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Ok, thanks. But will DDR2 800 work with the motherboard? It says it only supports DDR2 1066.Also, now that I know the dvd drive will work, does it come with the proper SATA cables to hook it up?

Yes, that means that the motherboard will support up to DDR2 1066. So it will support DDR2 800. And the motherboard should come with plenty of SATA cables.

If the DVD drive doesn't come with one, you'll have at least 2 that come with the motherboard. And yes DDR2 800 would work with your board.
