upgrading 750i ftw ram

Currently I have EVGA 750i FTW board with corsair twin2x 6400C5 2x2gb 5-5-5-15 @ 850mhz

Would I see a performance increase (other than 3dmarks) if I upgraded to 8500c5 5-5-5-15 @ 1066mhz?

You can tighten the timings on the 1066 from cas 5 to cas 4. But I don't think there will be a noticable difference in performance between DDR2 800 and DDR2 1066. Although the 1066 would benefit if you do intense CPU overclocking.

what voltage are you running now for 800mhz cas5? Chances are you can pump alittle more into it.

I'm currently 5-5-5-15 1.9v 850mhz, if I up the voltage, my FPS in 3dmark go down, voltage up to 1.95v, frameloss, voltage up to 2.0v frameloss, etc..

I've tried 4-4-4-12 @ 800mhz - 1.9-2.2v and no go, my bios doesn't like it.

This is why I'm looking to buy different ram.. I'm quite disappointed this corsair C5 ram can't run 4-4-4-12 even @ 800mhz, that's pathetic if you ask me..

So I think I'm looking to buy some cas5 1066 g.skill and tighten the timings..

Just want to say that I did have my ram running @ 4-4-4-12 @ 800mhz, couldn't go fast than that board wouldn't take it.. but that's when my ram was new perhaps messing with voltages has done it in, but it performs 100% I'm certain.
