hi folks! a little guidance from the experienced please.
i am running a pretty average, non-pointy-end-of-technology
sytem: amd 5600, couple of hd's, dvdr, 2gig dhx6400 and a
pair of 7800gt's; all at default in a p182 with standard fans.
my psu is a hiper 525watt non-modular; quite new.
until very recently, the rails were quite sound. however, a few
days ago, the 12v leapt from 12.0-something to 12.48. the nice
people at Ebuyer sent me a corsair tx750 which i rec'd today and
shall be mounting this weekend...(building for the future?)
my question is; this leap in the 12v rail(s - i've lost the box!).
should i lose this psu or can i use it in an old system (p4) and
just keep an eye on it? or am i panicking for nothing?
in other words, is it telling me that it's on the way south?
thanks for any observations...
