umm the gtxcore 216 is faster on average in most games

in that review, both cards beat each other 4 times, and a couple time the 4870 loses by like under 2 fps. (excluding crysis).

I disagree. it really only showed a big improvement over the 4870 when overclocked. We don't rate OC'ed cards on the list.

if you checkj otu all the other reveiws i posted you will see the gtx260core 216 pulls ahead most often and in teh hardware canucks reveiw where the cpu is oced to 3.8ghz it pulls ahead quite abit, and only looses in one game. also the gap is alot larger in that reveiw, i love hard ware canucks because they often overclock there cpu's which is teh way reviews should be done, to remove botle neck.

if the 4870 was overclocked also im sure it would beat or be about even again with the gtx 260 maxcore for example. i still think that on avg the 4870 is better

the 4870 is not overclocked in that review? if thats what you were posting it for. the other good thing about the 4870 is when AA is on it will outperform the nvidia cards significantly.

Why would you need to overclock it??

The GTX 260 is meant to compete with the 4850, and the GTX 280 the 4870.

GTX 260 core 216 is still a GTX 260, but with more sp's.
