It should overclock great. Antec makes good power supply's so it shouldn't give him any problems.

^I was thinking about getting a modular power supply (I think that is the one where you can unplug wires you are not using) for better wire management. Would this PSU be enough Newegg.com - Antec BP550 Plus 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies for all that with a decent OC (Should be able to get around 4.0GHz I would hope)?

so good enough to handle the e8400 OC, and a HD 4870?

For $269.99 Would it be worth it to get this 9800GX2 over a 4870? Seems like it would be better.

i would go for the 9800gx2 over the 4870. but you can't sli it on that mobo.

If I did get a 9800GX2 (seems like a good decision) i would probably go for like a P43 because I have heard the the nVidia boards don't OC as good as the P43/P45.

well some nvidia boards overclock and some dont. but if you want to overclock then get a p45 board. guaranteed overclock there. but to do quad sli you need a nvidia board. if i were to do quad sli i would get a 780i.

Here is the final list, can someone please check it make sure everything is good. My biggest concern is the PSU I want it to be modular, I think the one I have selected now will do fine with the 4870 and an e8400 OC, but can somone check that just to make sure?
