HERE ARE ALL MY SPECS, I AM WANTING TO UPGRADE TO MAKE THIS THING RUN SMOOTH, THINKING ABOUT RUNNING A 64 BIT SYSTEM WITH 8GB OF CRUCIAL, UPGRADING A COUPLE OF THE HARDDRIVES....I am just looking for unput on what I can and cant upgrade and what is and isnt compatible and benifical to me, I am not a big gamer, burn alot of things on dics, web browsing, usb devices, storage, media playback.. Also if you have parts compatible with my PC, I would be willing to buy from ya!

Considering..

processor
Hardrive
Memory
DVD Burner
cooling

and anything else you guys think, I need to cool it down, it runs pretty warm and everyonce in awhile I get an annoying whirring noise, if I kick the case it quits for a bit.. would like to fix that..

Looking to possibly buy used, maybe saving some there, Prefer as much Plug and install as possible, I dont know a WHOLE lot, but I feel this is something I could definently do. Probably 200-500

if ur willing to spend 500 it would be worth building a whole new computer, u can save all the hard drive and cd drives from ur old one.

but if u just want to upgrade, it isnt possible to replace the cpu cuz u have a dell and it will have a locked bios. also u dont need 8gb of ram, its very overkill for any app today, and with ur computer u have now u would only need 2 gb, cuz it would be ur cpu limiting u b4 those 2 gigs fill up

Gey dykzeulb I'm in a similar situation as you with an Acer

Just save up and get yourself a whole new comp and transfer over all your old stuff

It'll benefit you more since you can upgrade later on and all your parts will be OC able

downgrade that to a p43, e5200 or e7200 maybe 2 gb of ram, and get a video card because hes using onboard right now. and he'll need a psu

id say save up a bit more money and then build a new pc
