Hi, I have a Toshiba A215-S4697 that I have had for about two years now and all of a sudden it stopped working. Normally when the power adapter is connected to the laptop, a light that looks like a plug is illuminated on the front of the laptop, but nothing would happen anymore. I naturally assumed that the power adapter had gone bad so I went down to Fry's Electronics and purchased a compatible power adapter made by Cables Unlimited. It is a 100w continuous universal power adapter, AC 100-240v input, DC 15v / 16v / 18v / 19v at 6.8A max. I find the correct plug for the laptop, set the power to 19v and start it up. Now the plug is now illuminated on the front of the laptop but after having the laptop on for more than 15 seconds, it turns back off and the plug flashes continuously. Even when I don't turn on the computer, the plug flashes continuously.

What could be the problem?
