100 pounds for an upgrade

I have 100 pounds to spare and I need to get an upgrade.
I have:
Asus P5K
Intel E6750
seagate 160gb
maxtor 200gb
2gb corsair XMS2
Xpertvision 512mb 8500GT
Corsair 650W
2 x CD/DVD

I would like to get a larger single HDD and some new ram. Alternatively I could save for a bit and get a new GPU and monitor. However I think that the HDD and RAM needs to come first. Which HDD and RAM should i get. Maybe samsung spinpoint F1? and that would mean I could spend about 80 pounds on the ram.

your computer is fine, except for the gpu, just chuck in a 4850.

Yeah the 8500GT is the weak link. A 4850 would go a long way.

I know you said pounds which means England or what have you but giving you the newegg link will provide you with information on the card so you know exactly what to get.

This is the one with the ICEQ Turbo cooler on it and its also been factory overclocked.

yeah the HIS one is highly recommended, if you aren't into modding your cards. You can get better cooling by adding your own heatsink, but not everyone is up to that.

the IceQ 4 4850 is 141 quid here...not worth it IMO.

The standard cooler is fine with a bios flash or fan control through drivers (Cat 8.10)

could be a good upgrade or even a sound card (i see no one said that yet so why not say it)
