For $1100 youll most likely be able to get Crossfire 4850's with a Q9550 2.8ghz Quad. Dont get that.

Yep, I just made a newegg cart, and for 1150 bucks, I picked out a Q9550, Biostar Crossfire Mobo, Q9550, Arctic Freezer Pro, 4 GB G.Skill DDR2 1000 RAM, 2 HIS HD 4850s, 500gb WD HD, Corsair 750tx psu, Lite-On DVD Burner and an Antec 300 case.

So yeah, buying premade is not worth it.

Cool, I'll build what Ethan_Kaizer suggested.

One problem though, the Q9550 isn't available on newegg.ca :(

Here are the other parts:

Looking good?

EDIT: I just looked up the Q9550 on NCIX.com, and it's kind of really expensive: NCIX.com - Buy Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Quad Core Processor LGA775 2.83GHZ Yorkfield 1333FSB 12MB Retail Box - BX80569Q9550 In Canada.

Would it still be worth it to save for it instead of a Q6600?

Here's the monitor I want: Newegg.ca - ASUS MK241H Black 24" 2ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with 1.3M Pixel Webcam 450 cd/m2 1000:1 (ASCR 3000:1) Built in Speakers - LCD Monitors

Good?
